Web application for sizing equipment for electric motor drives

This website was created to support project engineers in the development of industrial electrical systems, aiming to optimize time for sizing the parts list for electrical panel projects for motor drives.

Electric motors play an important role in driving machines for industrial processes of various market segments. Optimizing the time of engineers which work on selecting equipment for electric motor drives is the main objective of this work. Using NodeJS platform, a web application is formulated which collects data concerning low-voltage network (operating voltage and rated breaking capacity), motor power, type of circuit diagrams and driven load, from all motors of a new project.

Using an algorithm, it provides the complete list of components required to drives circuit, project and additionally, information in a report. The results shown turned possible to provide the developed tool online to engineers and technology students.
